The star was honored with a Creative Arts Emmy Award in early September for one of his last-ever roles before his untimely death.

Rob Reiner received a posthumous Emmy.
The legendary actor and filmmaker starred in New Girl and The Wolf of Wall Street, and directed and/or wrote or produced some of the most iconic films of all time, including This Is Spinal Tap, The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally.
On Sunday, September 6, Reiner was awarded the accolade for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his guest-starring role in fan-favorite show The Bear, per Us Weekly.
Actress and comedian Wendi McLendon-Covey accepted the award on Reiner's behalf, telling the audience, "It's appropriate to stand for this one. I know we all wish Rob could be here tonight."
Those present gave a standing ovation to the late star.
Reiner's Guest Role on 'The Bear'
Rob Reiner guest-starred on 'The Bear' Season 4.
Reiner appeared on The Bear's fourth season, portraying restaurant franchiser Albert Schnur.
The series stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Molly Gordon and Will Poulter, and ran for five seasons total between 2022 and 2026.

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner's Horrific Murder
Rob and Michele Reiner were found murdered.
Last December, Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, a photographer and film producer, were found murdered in their own home.
Soon afterwards, their son Nick Reiner, 32, was arrested in connection with their deaths. He remains behind bars as he awaits trial. Nick has a known history of drug addiction, having been in and out of rehab centers since he was 15, and struggled with his mental health, as reported by NPR.
Nick Reiner Has Been Indicted for the Murder of His Parents
Nick was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder.
In early August, Nick was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder, as reported by The Guardian, and has pleaded not guilty.
"This was a profound betrayal by someone who was loved and trusted by the very people he is accused of killing," said the L.A. County District Attorney following the decision.
Rob and Michele shared two other children: Jake Reiner, 35, and Romy Reiner, 28.
In April, Jake published an emotional Substack essay about the situation.
"Nothing can prepare you for what it feels like to lose both parents instantly at the same time," he wrote at the time. "It’s too devastating to comprehend. I still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, no, it’s not a dream. This truly is my living nightmare."
He added, "We lost more than half of our family that night in the most violent way imaginable. Sure, any loss of a parent is devastating, but nothing compares to losing both of them at the same time and, on top of that, having your brother be at the center of it."
