During her Wednesday, August 19, monologue while guest-hosting , Rosie O'Donnell drew gasps from the live audience by taking a direct jab at President Donald Trump's relationship with his trusted 35-year-old White House aide, Natalie Harp.
“A special hello to those of you watching from home and from the White House,” O’Donnell began. “But I do have some bad news for President Petty Roosevelt. That’s all I’m going to say about you tonight, sweetheart.”
Addressing the 80-year-old president, O'Donnell quipped, "You got to realize it's time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in. Time to go nighty-night!!”
The comment drew gasps and applause from the crowd.
Who Is Natalie Harp?

Natalie Harp serves as a special assistant to the president.
The joke follows intense public focus on Harp, a former One America News Network presenter who serves as a special assistant to the president and manages his Truth Social account.
New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan recently detailed Harp’s deep devotion, noting she frequently leaves Trump adoring notes, with Haberman publicly dubbing her Trump's "binkie" and "comfort blanket."
O'Donnell's jab closely followed a viral speech by Georgia’s Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff, who mocked Trump for preferring to "travel with Natalie" on his plane rather than govern.

Rosie O'Donnell has tried to avoid mentioning Donald Trump during her monologues.
O'Donnell's week-long late-night hosting stint marks a sharp return to her decades-long rivalry with Trump, which recently escalated after Trump used Truth Social to threaten to revoke her U.S. citizenship and posted AI-generated memes mocking her. O'Donnell has avoided using Trump's actual name on air, instead mocking him with nicknames like "President Oompa J. Loompa" and "Velveeto Corleone.”
The White House heavily defended Harp following the broadcast, calling her a "beloved White House Official" and dismissing media scrutiny.
A bombshell report by MS NOW’s Jake Traylor and Jacqueline Alemany revealed that Harp worked at the White House without a security clearance for over a year.

Natalie Harp Is Close With the President

Natalie Harp spends long hours with the president.
Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Harp repeatedly declined to complete the standard federal background paperwork required of West Wing employees.
And as the Secret Service remains alarmed, Harp continues to spend long hours and nights with the elderly president.
Author Michael Wolff reported that during the 2024 campaign, when Trump's team relocated to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, campaign staffers deliberately left Harp off the official rooming assignments to create space between her and Trump.

Natalie Harp has been branded a 'potential danger' by the Secret Service.
Instead of leaving, Harp allegedly went to the grounds crew herself to secure a maid's room. Finding that room too far away to answer Trump's late-night or early-morning calls quickly, Wolff claims she moved her things into the women's locker room to sleep and live just down the hall from his door.
Separate reporting from Haberman and Swan corroborates that West Wing staff have grown highly alarmed by Harp bypassing protocols to deliver documents directly to Trump's private residential quarters late at night.
According to Wolff, Harp's intense behavior and round-the-clock fixation on Trump led the Secret Service to formally flag her to senior White House aides as a "potential danger to herself as well as the president."
