As ex Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker count down the days until their baby arrives, an insider said the Talentless founder is doing his best to stay positive.
Scott Disick is trying to stay positive as ex Kourtney Kardashian prepares to give birth.
The dad-of-three, 40, is "feeling a bit emotional as Kourtney gets closer to giving birth, but he is also supportive and is just glad she is feeling better considering her recent health scare," the source explained, referring to when the pregnant reality star had to undergo emergency fetal surgery last month.
This will be Kardashian and Travis Barker's first child together.
"He has put his own personal feelings aside and just wants to ensure that Kourtney is healthy and that their kids are feeling good," the source continued. "He has been extra proactive and hands on and helping out however he can."
Disick shares sons Reign, 8, and Mason, 13, as well as daughter Penelope, 11, with Kardashian, so he too has helped prepare their kids for a newborn to be added into the mix.
The spouses announced they were expecting in June.
"Both Scott and Kourtney have had open and honest conversations with their kids about getting a new sibling," the insider said. "They're looking forward to having a new baby brother around."
As OK! previously reported, the New York native and the mother of his children, 44, drifted apart since the latter began dating Barker, 47, in 2020.
"Now that she’s starting a family with Travis, there isn’t room for Scott anymore," a separate source told a magazine.
The exes still "communicate and see each other when they’re picking up the kids or dropping them off," but "that’s all the exposure she wants," the source claimed.
The co-parents dated on and off for nine years before splitting permanently in 2015, but due to his long relationship with the Kardashian family, he still has a strong bond with his ex's loved ones.

In fact, when rumor spread that the famous brood cut him off, matriarch Kris Jenner, 67, quickly denied the gossip.
"Scott will NEVER be excommunicated from our family…. he's the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family," she stated via social media. "We love him and not true!"

More recently, on an episode of The Kardashians, Jenner and Khloé Kardashian, 39, tried to set Disick up on a date, as he's been single for over a year.
When Kris asked Scott what his "perfect girl" would look like, he jokingly referred to Khloé.
"She's funny, she's kind, she's sweet, she's cute," he said of the Good American co-founder. "She's got all the characteristics I want, is what I'm saying."

"I think Scott probably has a crush on Khloé. Listen, I have a crush on Khloé. Everyone has a crush on Khloé. The cameramen all have a crush on Khloé," the momager quipped. "If we could just find somebody who comes close, we know what he's looking for."
