Demi Lovato Resurfaces Old Tweet About Singing The National Anthem One Day

Demi Lovato believes that dreams do come true! On Sunday, February 2, the 27-year-old singer shared a resurfaced tweet to social media in which she explained her goal of one day singing the National Anthem.

“One day, I’m gonna sing the National Anthem at a Super Bowl. One day,” the former Disney Channel alum wrote to Twitter in a tweet that dates back to February 2010. “Stealing this from @scooterbraun. Dreams really do come true y’all,” Demi wrote as her caption alongside the old tweet.

On Sunday, February 2, Demi fulfilled her lifelong dream of singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Following her performance, the “Heart Attack” singer reflected on the monumental moment. “A dream come true ?? Thank you for having me today @nfl!! ? The #SBLIV visual album is up now and benefits will be going towards @inspirechange,” she wrote.

In honor of her performance, Demi stunned in an all-white jumpsuit. She wore her hair in loose curls and rocked a smokey-eye glam makeup look.

Last month, Demi took the stage at the 2020 Grammy Awards where she sang her latest hit “Anyone.” The performance also marked her return to the stage after she was hospitalized in July 2018 after an apparent heroin overdose. “What an unbelievable night,” Demi wrote on Instagram. “My first time back on stage in almost two years. So emotional for me. Thank you all for the love, support and for sharing this moment with me. I love you all.”

During an interview with Andy Cohen, Demi revealed that she thought about quitting music following that rough chapter in her life.
