Liam Hemsworth Leaves Pre-Oscars Party After Ex-Wife Miley Cyrus Arrives

Hollywood is a small world! Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth narrowly avoided each other at the WME pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles on February 7. The Isn’t It Romantic star reportedly left shortly after the “Mother’s Daughter” singer arrived.

Miley, 27, and Liam, 30, attended the same party before the Oscars on February 9. “They stayed away from each other,” a source told Us Weekly. “Liam left when Miley and her parents got there.”

Miley attended the party with her parents, Billy Ray and Tish. “Miley’s parents were staying separate from Liam and were hanging out in the back area of the party. They avoided him, but didn’t seem they had any beef with him. Miley also didn’t seem to be bothered by the fact that Liam was there because he left soon after she walked in,” the insider added.

Miley and Liam dated on and off for nearly a decade after they met while filming The Last Song. The pair got married at the “Slide Away” singer’s family home in Nashville in December 2018 before separating in August 2019. Their divorce was finalized on January 28, 2020.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for the said in a statement on August 10, 2019. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”

Since their split, both of them have gone on to date other people. “Liam doesn’t have bad feelings toward Miley, he just wants to move forward with his life. He’s happy with Gabriella Brooks,” the insider told Us.

Liam was first linked to the 21-year-old model in December 2019 when they were spotted getting lunch with his parents in Byron Bay, Australia.

Miley, on the other hand, has had a whirlwind romance with Cody Simpson. She and The Masked Singer: Australia winner were first connected in October 2019 when they were seen making out. Miley quickly made their relationship Instagram official and he spent the holidays with her family.
