“I was looking at two different people,” Dolores, 48, told The Daily Dish on October 31 after seeing Teresa, 47, and Joe’s interview. “I was with them the night before he left to begin his prison sentence, and they were very much in love at that time."

She continued, “What I had noticed back then, four years ago, was that she had just come home and he was leaving, right? She had almost matured when she was away, and he was still the Joe that she left. But he's not coming back to the same Teresa, that's for sure.”

Joe, 47, is currently living in Italy until a decision is made about his final appeal to stay in the United States after serving time in prison for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. The former RHONJ star was transferred to an ICE detainment center when he was released from prison in March. Due to harsh ICE facility conditions, he asked to await his decision in his native country, Italy, and the judge granted his request on October 3.

Teresa is due to go visit Joe with their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana when they have a break from school. “I wish them the best. I know at the end of the day they'll do what's right for their children, and that is get along and just make peace and make the best of what they have,” Dolores said. “And I will be there to help along with that because I know that. I know how to do that.”

“If we stay together, we stay together, if we don't, we don't. You know, it's a conversation that we'll see,” said. “I'm not gonna tell her what to do. If she doesn't feel like she doesn't want to be with me anymore, then that's the thing to do.”
