Ashley Jacobs is getting her health back on track after breaking up with Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel. In a tear-filled Instagram live video posted yesterday, Ashley admitted the two had called it quits. Despite the heartbreak, she has already gained ten pounds after a severe weight loss earlier this year.
“I don’t want to comment but there are just some things I’m trying to handle privately,” Ashley said in the video as tears streamed down her face. “Before I say too much, I love Thomas and I’ll always love Thomas. I’ll always care about him.”
“I’m still trying to work it out, not work out getting back together, but I’m still trying to figure it out,” she continued. “I think everyone’s been through breakups before but it’s hard. It’s not easy…Sometimes you just want to stay quiet and figure out what the next move in your life is going to be…I’m just trying to take care of myself the best way that I can.”
Taking care of herself seems to include gaining weight after a drastic weight loss recently. On the Southern Charm reunion, Ashley admitted the stress of the show had caused her to drop more than a few pounds.
“The pressure of filming made me nervous. It would be hard for me to eat before because I would be so nervous about what to expect,” she told host Andy Cohen. “And then afterward, I had such a hard time even eating, going, ‘I shouldn’t have said that. I shouldn’t have said this.’ And it caused a lot of stress. I put a lot of pressure on myself.”
Ashley admitted to the split a few hours after she deleted all photos of Thomas from her Instagram. The day before, Thomas said on Twitter he was quitting Southern Charm and accused Bravo of “fictionalizing” his story amid his sexual assault scandal.
