When it comes to etiquette, manners and overall good behavior, even celebrities need help navigating the rough waters of stardom! It’s a good thing Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York City is joining forces with OK! to school them on the right thing to do! In a rough situation, we just ask, “What Would the Countess Do?” This week she takes on a royal scandal and the decision to delay college for a career.
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson aka Fergie, was caught after apparently offering money for access to her royal ex, Prince Andrew. She’s blamed financial problems.
I think whether you marry an aristocrat or not, a man should look after his family. I think Prince Andrew doesn’t make a lot of money and the Queen should loosen up her purse strings. She took care of Princess Diana, so why is she not taking care of Fergie? Although Fergie has made money in the past, it looks like she’s gone through it all. I had to learn to budget and manage my personal finances when I divorced just like any other woman. It isn’t easy to transition from a lifestyle where money isn’t on your radar screen to having to manage household finances, but I did it and so can Fergie.
Tip: Money can’t buy you class!
Miley Cyrus has said she’s forgoing college for her career. Is this a good choice for such a young girl?
I can see why Miley made the decision to pursue her career rather than go off to college in the fall. Right now, her career is flourishing and her earning potential is sky-high. For most teenagers, delaying college means working in a low-paying job. It is better to focus on education while you are young and unencumbered.
Tip: If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody else will.
Tune in to Bravo on Thursdays at 10 ET for the third season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
