Ariana Grande Goes Instagram Official With Ricky Alvarez as Couple Rekindles Their Romance

Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez have gone Instagram official amid reports of their rekindled romance.

The pop star shared a carousel post on her account on Wednesday, August 12, which included photos of Alvarez. Although speculation about the former couple getting back together has been circulating for a while, this appears to be the first time the pair have publicly hinted at their relationship.

The Grammy-winning singer who's currently on her global Eternal Sunshine Tour posted a photo dump of her life these days, with the caption, “🌱 ! ♡”

Although the innocuous caption didn't make waves, the photos in the slideshow drew attention.

In particular, two shots showed Grande and Alvarez embracing in front of a mirror while posing for selfies.

One of the images featured the pair wearing coordinating black-and-white outfits. The dancer had his arm draped over the Wicked star’s shoulder, while she held onto it with one hand.

Although both of their faces were cropped out of the image, the singer made it clear who stood beside her by tagging him.

Another snap, posted upside down, showed the 33-year-old wearing a black dress with a blue ribbon, and her partner wearing a white shirt and black pants.

The photo depicted Alvarez embracing her with his arm around her waist as he faced the mirror and took the selfie with his phone, while she stood with her back to the mirror.

She tagged the 35-year-old in that picture as well, leaving no room for doubt about where their relationship stands.

The pair initially dated from 2015 to 2016, before going their separate ways. Although they had reportedly remained friendly since their split, rumors about their relationship began swirling again when they were spotted on a lunch date in Austin in June this year.

Alvarez also attended her tour stop in the city that night and was seen cheering her on from the crowd.

The "Dangerous Woman" singer also made headlines for repeatedly changing the lyrics to her hit song "Thank You, Next" throughout her concert tour. The song references several of her exes and reflects on her past relationships.

One of the most recent lyric changes sparked speculation when she sang, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back."

A source told People on July 14, "Ariana has always considered Ricky a friend."

"She’s not held ill will against him [since their split]. Ricky is dependable, trustworthy and very supportive. Ariana feels she can be herself around Ricky," they continued.

"They’re not jumping into anything serious right away, but Ari is happy to have him back in her life," the insider added.
