Is Britney Spears sending out a code red?
The princess of pop recently posted a series of new Instagram photos with a “Red” theme, and fans are starting to think it might be some sort of message.
Spears, 39, has been fairly active on Instagram lately, and followers are watching her every move as things with the singer’s conservatorship battle continue to heat up.
The “Red” messages, which are believed by many to be Spears’ secret way of communication, began to resurface last week, although the superstar was dropping similar hints over a year ago.
OK! reported on the sexy ‘gram Spears posted of herself on Sunday, July 11, where she posed in cherry-red lingerie with a black choker and matching black heels.
“All has been said and done full circle ⭕️ ... back to RED !!!!!,” she captioned the post.
Just days later, Spears made another post, this time a video of her showing off her dance moves to Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” wearing a fluorescent red top. She left a simple comment on the post, writing only “RED !!!!”

Fans were quick to take notice of the colorful theme, and many took to the comments section to discuss possible hidden meanings of the posts.
Some fans think the cryptic posts might mean a new album or announcement is coming. One fan commented on her July 11 post, “We can’t wait for PROJECT RED ❤️⭕️.”
Other fans took the posts to mean something a little more serious, wondering if the “red” messages were signals. Some even commented wondering if the singer is in danger, and begged the star to let people know if she is safe and OK.
This isn’t the first time the “Toxic” singer has used the color red in her posts. A year ago, Spears posted a photo of a vibrantly red sunset on July 9, 2020.
“This is so cool the sky looks red .... almost like Mars !!!!! Psss I heard on the news about a new planet in our solar system called Planet Nine !!!!!!! I wonder what’s on this planet 😜😜😜 ...... or is it a planet at all 🧐🧐🧐🧐 ?????,” she captioned the post at the time.
The “Red” posts popped up again in March, when Spears posted a series of Instagrams, all with the word “red” in the caption.
All but one of the posts were deleted shortly after, except a shot of a pair of diamond-studded dark red lips. Two bright red nails are grazing over the lips (which could or could not be Spears’ own lips).
Fans at the time were begging to understand what the hint means, although Spears still hasn’t given any more information other than her most recent cryptic photos.
