Spears posted the topless photo on Thursday, simply captioning it with the pointe-shoe emoji. Eagle-eyed fans — always searching for clues on her social media — quickly noticed her tattoos were missing, including the new one she recently got that says “healing” in Hebrew.

Fans in the comment section also pointed out that the fairy image at the base of her spine was missing, leaving many wondering if it was really the singer in the photo.

She captioned the aggressive post, “Ok so... I edited out my tattoo on my neck cause I wanted to see what it would look like clean 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️…,” she wrote, addressing why her tattoos were noticeably absent from the first pic. “And yeah I like it better so while you guys are talking behind my back go ahead and kiss my ass haters 😘🍑!!!!!!"

We feel this account ain't managed by you. We want you free, Britney. That's the point, Queen!!!”

Spears’ legion of fans have long wondered if the “Toxic” singer was sending hidden messages in her Instagram posts as a cry for help. The 39-year-old’s social media manager shut the rumors down earlier this year in a lengthy message on her personal account.

“First and foremost, I absolutely adore the Britney Spears fan base. They are incredible, loyal, and passionate about her. I admire them. I know everything they do and say is because they truly love her. Which is why it’s been easy for me to overlook some of the nasty comments that have been thrown my way over the years — because I know deep down it’s all out of love for one of the greatest pop stars of all time,” Cassie Petrey wrote via Instagram.

“However, there are a lot of inaccurate theories out there about how Britney Spears’ social media operates, and I want to give as much information as I can without violating her privacy or mine,” she continued, stressing that Spears “creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram” as well as handpicking “the google images, Pinterest images, quotes, memes, and everything else” that pops up on her feed.

“Nobody is suggesting any of that stuff to her. She generally edits the videos herself,” she continued. “She has stated many times that she creates the posts, but people continue to believe conspiracy theories over what Britney says over and over again. Britney is not ‘asking for help’ or leaving secret messages in her social media. She is literally just living her life and trying to have fun on Instagram.”
