"What’s with all the hate?" one fan asked as social media users debated the unusual cooking method.

In a TikTok video originally posted in July 2025 and reposted on Thursday, August 6, Brooklyn, 27, was seen preparing pasta while aboard a luxury boat.
"Today, I'm going to make some tomato pasta. Of course, we get some pasta water," he said before dunking a saucepan into the seawater.
The eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham then headed into the kitchen to prepare his dish.

However, not everyone thought his choice of cooking deserved the backlash.

Brooklyn Beckham faced criticism over his decision to use seawater to cook pasta.
When Brooklyn posted the clip, one viewer questioned whether seawater taken from around the boat was safe to use for cooking.
"Gross. Takes sea water from the engine where oil and chemicals leak thru. Boiling seawater doesn’t kill chemical pollutants, heavy metals, and all toxins," a user wrote.
The cooking video came as Brooklyn had recently spent time with his godfathers, Elton John and David Furnish, amid his ongoing tensions with his family.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn’s parents and siblings had vacationed separately. Per The Sun, David, 51, and Victoria, 52, had traveled through Spain with their children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 15.
Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, had also joined the family during their trip to the Spanish island of Formentera.
