Candace Owens is rejecting the notion that Donald Trump fired Pam Bondi over the criticism of her poor handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
"People I think initially thought this must be related to her fumbling the Epstein files so hard. No, her and Trump are on the same team when it comes to the Epstein files," the conservative commentator said on the Thursday, April 2, episode of her show.
"They protected the Epstein files together, okay? It was under her watch," Owens declared, before claiming that Trump, 79, sacked the attorney general for an entirely different reason.
'It was under her watch,' Candace Owens said.
Candace Owens Reveals Alleged Reason Pam Bondi Was Axed

Donald Trump announced Pam Bondi's firing on April 2.
Owens continued, "Trump fired her is because he's upset with her because he believes that she is the one that tipped off Eric Swalwell regarding an investigation into his relationship. You know, he was dating the Chinese spy girl."
"So apparently the FBI was sort of preparing a bunch of documents relating to his [Swalwell] relationship with Christine Fang," the podcaster explained. "Trump believes that she intervened and tipped him off and he was angry with her."
Owens added, "So it's like, 'You're not loyal to me,' even though she's like, 'Hey, um, you know, I kind of backed you up on Jeffrey Epstein.'"
'I Think It's Time'

She was allegedly fired in the back of Donald Trump's limo.
Despite Owens' remarks, the New York Post reported on Thursday that a senior Trump administration source squashed the Swalwell rumors.
"The president has been considering this change for a long time," the insider said, per the tabloid.
Bondi, 60, was allegedly fired "in the back of the presidential limousine" on Wednesday, April 1.
"I think it’s time," the POTUS reportedly told Bondi, who asked if she could stay in the role until the summer. He denied her request, according to reports by multiple outlets.

Donald Trump Is in the Epstein Files

Donald Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein have come under intense public scrutiny.
Bondi was notably threatened with hefty fines and even jail time for redacting files related to the late sexual predator.
Among the three million pages of documents published by the DOJ in January, one extremely disturbing finding claimed a girl was "forced to perform oral s--" on the president 35 years ago when she was just 13.
It was alleged that the young girl "bit" the former real estate mogul during the s-- act. Another document dump claimed Trump flew numerous times on Epstein's private jet.
'The Cover-up Is So Brazen'

Pam Bondi has been accused of wrongfully redacting documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
As OK! previously reported, the Trump administration has come under public scrutiny over its handling of Epstein-related files.
In a recent interview, award-winning writer and journalist Lucia Osborne-Crowley accused the administration of purposely withholding information.
"[Epstein's victims] are very angry that the cover-up is so brazen," she told The Guardian.
