Carole Baskin To Investigate 'Tiger King' Star Joe Exotic's Former Zoo For 'Evidence Of Animal Trafficking And Abuse' In New Series
Carole Baskin is in charge!
The big cat enthusiast is looking to take down her nemesis Joe Exotic once and for all in a new docuseries for Discovery+, Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight.
In the upcoming series, Baskin and her hubby, Howard, will get “their hands dirty and investigate the treatment of big cats, often coming into direct confrontations with dangerous operators.”
The duo will investigate Exotic’s former proper G.W. Zoo for “evidence of animal trafficking and abuse treatment, revealing many shocking moments along the way,” reported Daily News.
Baskin has enlisted Exotic’s niece, Chealsi, who will provide “first-hand knowledge” of the zoo she grew up around as a child.
“This is a unique opportunity for audiences to come ‘behind the scenes’ with us for an unfiltered look at how we expose the cub petting exploiters and roadside zoos we feel are mistreating animals,” the Dancing with the Stars alum said, adding: “This is our real-life work within a dangerous world, and viewers will see it comes with our people being threatened, guns pointed at us and the bad guys shooting at our drones.”

The 60-year-old animal activist was awarded the G.W. Zoo after Exotic — real name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage — was sentenced to prison.
The Tiger King star is currently locked up in Fort Worth, Texas, serving out a 22-year sentence for plotting to kill Baskin. He was also convicted in 2019 on eight counts of violating the Lacey Act for falsifying wildlife records and nine counts of violating the Endangered Species Act.
“Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight reveals Carole’s story in her own words,” Amy Introcaso-Davis, Executive Vice President Development and Production Factual Programming at Discovery, spilled in a statement. “Viewers will see this larger than life personality in the fight for her beloved big cat’s lives as she uncovers and stops the exploitation of these animals.”
The series debuts November 13, on Discovery+.
