Chris Evans is finally sharing a rare glimpse of his Avengers tattoo ahead of his MCU return.
The actor originally got the ink in 2018, along with costars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner, to celebrate the release of the much-acclaimed Avengers: Infinity War.
Even though Mark Ruffalo opted out, it seems like the ink remains close to Evans’ heart, quite literally.

Chris Evans Shows Off His 'Avengers' Tattoo After Eight Years

Chris Evans stunned fans with his magnificent 'Avengers' tattoo.
East Side Ink tattoo artist Josh Lord shared a post on Instagram on Wednesday, August 12, celebrating his friendship with the 45-year-old actor and his upcoming return to the franchise in Avengers: Doomsday.
“Just a tip of the hat to one of my favorite people before Avengers: Doomsday comes out!” he wrote in the caption.
“This guy has been there for me during hard times and I’m always honored to be his friend and tattooer,” he continued.
The design is a combination of all six original Avengers’ symbols, along with an “A” to represent the group and the number 6 signifying the OG members, i.e., Evans' Captain America, Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Johansson’s Black Widow, Renner's Hawkeye, Hemsworth’s Thor and Ruffalo’s Hulk.

Although the actor seemingly has multiple tattoos on his chest, including a giant eagle on his right pectoral, Lord blurred them in the video compilation he posted.
“(Still keeping his other tattoos private by request, but this blurry one of him was his own choice to release...)” he continued.
“Obviously Chris is a brilliant actor who has done sooo much more than just Captain America. Anyone lucky enough to see him on stage will attest to that, plus countless of my favorite movies,” he stated before adding, “But this is a post inspired by the upcoming movie.”

Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers in 'Avengers: Doomsday.'
The Knives Out star is set to return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, which is slated to release on December 18.
The last time he reprised his role was in Avengers: Endgame. Now, fans are thrilled to see Captain America once again in what is anticipated to be one of the biggest Marvel releases in the last few years.
Adding to the excitement, Downey Jr. is also making his comeback to the franchise after years.

Chris Evans' return to the MCU might have been influenced by Robert Downey Jr.'s comeback.
However, he will portray Doctor Doom in the upcoming movie, who will serve as the primary antagonist the superhero team will confront.
Evans spoke about his return in an interview with Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con last month, saying, “I got a phone call from my team saying there’s a rumor [Downey Jr. is] talking to Marvel, and I was like, ‘Uh, oh. What does this mean?’”
“And all of a sudden it felt right. [Doomsday co-director Joe Russo] gave me the pitch, and Downey was [back],” he recalled.
“It just all of a sudden, it was like, ‘This is it,’” he added.
