Former President Donald Trump Did Not Wear His Pants Backwards — See The Clip That Has Everyone Talking
When former president Donald Trump attended a political rally in North Carolina on Saturday, June 5, he may not have expected to be the subject of memes debating whether or not he wore his pants backwards.
The social media storm erupted when clips from his appearance began surfacing online and people noticed there did not appear to be a zipper on the front of Trump's pants when he moved away from the podium.
"Others are noting this, but it can't be shared enough: Donald Trump gave his big speech today with his pants on backwards. Look close and tell me I'm wrong," New York Daily News contributor Brandon Friedman wrote on Twitter alongside a clip.
"If this turns out to be a fake video I'm gonna be so mad," he added. Later, Brandon shared an article claiming Trump had worn his pants properly — but not before social media went wild.
"I don’t know about being on backwards, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen such severe wrinkling. How does that happen?" one user asked.
"They're pull up pants, they must have an elastic waist! So carefully creased at the sides and wrinkled from being pull up [sic] while he sits (which he does 92% of the time). They're like pajama suit pants!" another user guessed.

"They didnt turn his upper body enough. You gotta do it until it clicks into place," a third user joked.
"I think he has had special pants made to accommodate the [Depends] he has to wear. I could be wrong though!" another surmised.
Many users made reference to a similar scene in Spaceballs — in which Mel Brooks' President Skroob exited a transporter with his head backwards — while others suggested that perhaps the 74-year-old is a Kriss Kross fan or was wearing adult diapers.
"Being that he still wants to be referred to as the president and he's reenacting this scene from Spaceballs, it seems we should be referring to him as President Skroob," one user quipped.
However, Snopes decided to investigate the hot topic by looking into images and videos from the event, which revealed that Trump was, in fact, wearing his pants correctly. Intelligencer came to the same conclusion.
"Even though Snopes did the dirty work.....we had boundless belly laughs that made our day and for that I thank you......" another user said once the videos had been debunked.
However, with Trump banned from Twitter, he might not have seen all the fuss.
