Lawyer Seeks To Seize Erika Jayne's Assets In Estranged Ex Tom Girardi's Alleged Embezzlement Scheme
Erika Jayne’s legal woes are mounting.
A lawyer representing the families of the victims in the Lion Air Flight 610 plane crash in 2018 is seeking to gain control of the reality TV star’s assets to pay back her estranged ex, Tom Girardi’s creditors.
In court docs obtained by Radar, lawyers representing the orphans and widows are seeking the courts permission to go after Jayne’s belongings to recoup their money.
Financial records reveal Girardi’s firm owes a whopping $101 million to various creditors. In a federal lawsuit, brought by the class-action firm Edelson PC, Girardi is accused of screwing over the families of the crash victims he represented.
The once-respected attorney previously worked out a multi-million dollar settlement to the families, but they are claiming he failed to pay out $2 million.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is named as a defendant in the lawsuit as they allege she helped her estranged ex embezzle the money. In the new suit, Edelson PC says they know they can’t go after Girardi, as he filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.

However, they are seeking the courts permission to file suit against the 50-year-old singer.
“Edelson does not seek to obtain assets that ever belonged to the estate” of Giradi, “instead, it seeks its own, traceable assets that were embezzled by Tom and potentially given to Erika,” the motion reads. The federal judge has yet to sign off on the suit.
The Dancing with the Stars alum filed for divorce from estranged ex Girardi in November after 20 years of marriage. Within weeks, the estranged couple was embroiled in a messy lawsuit amid allegations they pocketed money intended for the families of the victims in the crash.
The Broadway star was then slapped with a lawsuit demanding she pay back $25 million owed to creditors they claim furnished her lavish lifestyle.
