Fox News host Jesse Watters admitted on Tuesday, August 18, that he was not "fazed" by Georgia’s Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff's recent jab about Donald Trump because the president has said so many "more sleazy things" throughout his life.
Speaking on the panel show The Five, Watters explained that he could not pretend to be offended by the senator's comments when he has spent years defending far more intense rhetoric from Trump.
The rising Democratic star made a pointed comment about the POTUS for surrounding himself with attractive women, specifically mentioning ubiquitous White House aide Natalie Harp.
Donald Trump Has Said 'So Much Worse'

Dana Perrino called out Jon Ossoff for writing the diss into his speech.
“He golfs and trades stocks,” Ossoff scoffed of Trump at a weekend campaign rally. “See, he doesn’t want to do the job; he wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie to their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”
“It wasn’t a quip that just came rolling off the tongue. It was written into the speech," co-host Dana Perrino said.
Watters replied. “To suggest that Trump surrounds himself with attractive women — I mean, yeah. He’s done that his whole life. I don’t think he’s very upset about the comment. Uh, am I fazed by this comment? No. Has Trump said so much worse? So much more sleazy things against other people?"
"Yes! Have I defended those things? Absolutely!" he continued. "So, I'm not gonna pretend I'm all hot and bothered about it.”

Jon Ossoff criticized the president for spending time golfing instead of working.
While refusing to condemn Ossoff, Watters did defend Harp's credentials, emphasizing that Trump signed the Right to Try Act in 2018, allowing Harp to access experimental bone cancer treatments that she credits with saving her life — something her estranged brother disputed as having more to do with her insurance than her presidential idol.
Despite Watters dismissing the drama, other conservative figures and the administration took a much harder stance.

Steven Cheung hit back at Jon Ossoff's claim by calling him 'a miserable person who hates this country.'
Insolent White House Communications Director Steven Cheung strongly criticized Ossoff on X, calling him a "miserable person who hates this country" and a "radical, extremist Dumocrat.”
Watters claimed Trump himself was unbothered by the criticism, joking that the president would view Ossoff as "Pee-Wee Herman" and move on.
'The President Doesn't Care'

Jesse Watters doesn't think Donald Trump cares about Jon Ossoff's comments.
“So, I’m not gonna pretend I’m all hot and bothered about it, and the president doesn’t even care. He’s like, 'What? Who? Who? Pee-Wee Herman? Next,'” Watters said.
As a primetime host on Fox News, Watters is widely known as a staunch loyalist and defender of Trump rather than a substantive critic, frequently using dismissive framing for controversies surrounding him.
