Rosie O'Donnell Savagely Denies Wanting to Be Interviewed by Fox News Star Jesse Watters: 'Go Away' 

Rosie O'Donnell slammed Fox News host Jesse Watters in a TikTok video posted on Wednesday, August 5, after a production crew from Jesse Watters Primetime allegedly ambushed her outside a New York City theater.

O'Donnell completely shut down the impromptu interview attempt, telling Watters and his team to "stay out of my orbit" and stating, "I just have no interest in you in any capacity."

The 64-year-old comedian reported that as she exited her vehicle at the Daryl Roth Theater — where she is performing in the off-Broadway show Common Knowledge — a mass of Fox News producers ran toward her, screaming that Watters wanted to speak with her.

O'Donnell quickly posted a video addressing the situation, captioning it: "I have no desire to talk to him or Fox (we lie to Americans) 'news' so say what u need and go the f--- away."

"So here's what I want to say to Jesse Watters and his gang of unruly reporter yellers at the theater today: no, I don't want to speak or answer a question from Jesse Watters," O'Donnell said.

In her video, she reminded Watters of standard media industry protocol, telling him, "If you want to interview me, call my publicist. That’s how it works. Don’t you know that yet?”

O'Donnell made it very clear that she has zero interest in engaging with Watters or his programming.

"I've never watched Jesse Watters, and I don't care to, OK? I've read enough about what he's said about women and who he is and how his career began on Bill O'Reilly's show, of all places,” she said.

She said she has read about his past misogynistic comments regarding women, citing his professional origins as a producer and booker for disgraced former Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly, who was fired from Fox News on April 19, 2017, following an investigation into multiple sexual harassment and verbal abuse allegations.

While Fox fans blasted O’Donnell’s rejection, supporters praised her for standing up to the crew, with fans noting that she "messed with the wrong person" and successfully held her ground against aggressive reporting tactics.

The incident occurred just days before O'Donnell wraps up her theater run on August 8, after which she is scheduled to move to Los Angeles to guest-host Jimmy Kimmel Live!

O'Donnell’s decade-spanning feud with Donald Trump has repeatedly been a focal point on the far-right network.

Most notably, during the 2015 Fox News Republican Presidential Debate, moderator Megyn Kelly confronted Trump regarding his past public descriptions of women.

Trump interrupted Kelly to state that his comments were directed only toward O'Donnell, making her a central talking point in the network's prime-time coverage without her ever setting foot in their studios.

Watters has obsessively harped on O’Donnell’s views, mockingly diagnosing her with "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and running multiple segments tracking her movements. Watters has a history of targeting O'Donnell that dates back nearly two decades, stemming from his early career as an aggressive "ambush" field reporter.
