COUPLES'She Broke It Off': Ben Affleck & Younger Girlfriend Ana De Armas Reportedly Call It Quits After Nearly One Year Together
Say it ain't so! Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas are reportedly over after less than a year together.
"Ben is no longer dating Ana," a source revealed. "She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles."
"This is something that was mutual and something that is completely amicable," another source added of the former flames. "They are in different points in their lives and there is deep love and respect there and Ben continues to want to work on himself. He has three jobs lined up and he’s a solid father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives."
Affleck and De Armas were first romantically linked earlier last year when they were filming their upcoming thriller, Deep Water, in New Orleans together.
They had since been spotted visiting her native country, Cuba, vacationing in Costa Rica and cozying up together during their quarantine in Los Angeles. The Knives Out star made their relationship Instagram official in April when she shared a photo of the two celebrating her 32nd birthday.
The 48-year-old and brunette beauty's relationship seemed to be going well, as his daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, as well as son Samuel, 8 — whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — were said to "adore her" and "think she's fun and treat her like she's a part of the Affleck crew," a source previously told OK!.
"Ana seems to love being around his kids," a source dished months prior to their alleged split. "Everyone has been getting along great. Ana is making an effort to get to know his kids." OK! recently learned that De Armas even joined the co-parents and their children for the holidays. "It's going to be one big happy family," the source said, noting Garner is happy for her ex.
While it seems that their love wasn't meant to last, a source previously told OK!: "Ben makes Ana feel so happy and secure, and he's been extremely supportive of her career and helps with advice whenever she needs it."
Some of their close pals even speculated that an engagement could be right around the corner after they already moved in together at the end of the summer.
De Armas moved into Affleck's $20 million mansion in L.A.’s Pacific Palisades. However, Affleck was hoping to convince her to move away from the California life to live a "simpler life."
