Not so well: Jake Gyllenhaal is staying mum about the new version of Taylor Swift’s song alleged to be about their relationship, but a source says he’s privately stewing.
The 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” a bitter breakup ballad believed to recall their brief 2010 romance, “is even more damning than the original she put out nine years ago,” dishes the insider. “Jake can’t believe that she’s dredging up the past.”
The actor, 40, who reportedly broke things off with Swift, 31, because of their age difference, is also said to be taken aback by the emotionally-charged video she released with the song.
“They ended on very poor terms, and it’s like Taylor’s getting a real buzz out of making him squirm,” notes the source, who says the singer has had “an ax to grind” ever since the actor hooked up with 25-year-old model Jeanne Cadieu in 2018.
“Everyone knows that any guy who messes with Taylor comes in for the same treatment, but Jake feels this was a real cheap shot,” the source adds. “It’s been years. He thinks Taylor needs to live in the present.”

As OK! previously reported, Gyllenhaal put on a brave face despite the media frenzy surrounding him while attending the Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards on November 13 — just one day after Swift’s album dropped.
The Brokeback Mountain star presented his Netflix film The Guilty, while his sister Maggie Gyllenhall was awarded with the breakthrough director award for her directorial debut on The Lost Daughter, at the prestigious event.
While Gyllenhaal has clearly moved on, Swift has, too — with Joe Alwyn, 30, who she has opened up about in her Netflix documentary Miss Americana.
"I also was falling in love with someone who had a really wonderfully normal balanced grounded life," she said of The Favourite actor at the time. "And we decided together that we wanted our relationship to be private."
Red (Taylor's Version) is the second rerecorded album of the pop musician's discography after former label exec Scott Borchetta sold her original masters to Scooter Braun.
