Jax Taylor Says He's Lost Jobs Because Estranged Wife Brittany Cartwright Is Trying to 'Sabotage' His Life

Jax Taylor is claiming that estranged wife Brittany Cartwright is trying to “sabotage” his life.

The Valley star made the allegation on Wednesday, August 26, after sharing an event for children with autism. Taylor said Cartwright contacted the event organizer after seeing his post and suggested she could provide additional information about him.

Cartwright’s alleged message to the organizer read, “Hi, my ex-husband posted this event. I was wondering if you are sponsoring him or if he is officially involved in this event. If so, I’d like to share some information with you. Can you please share a donation link with me because I would actually like to help?”

Taylor later shared a screenshot of the alleged exchange on social media before deleting the post. He claimed the interaction was part of a larger pattern that has affected his ability to find work.

Alongside the screenshot, Taylor made his feelings about the situation clear.

"This is just another example of her contacting every company, brand or opportunity I get, trying to sabotage my ability to work and move forward with my life," he wrote in the caption.

According to the reality star, he has lost "several jobs" this way and said the alleged behavior has been happening "over and over."

"I've stayed quiet for close to a year and tried handling things privately, but it just doesn't stop,” he penned. "I'm just trying to work, support causes that mean a lot to me and just move forward with my life. I don't understand why that can't be allowed to happen."

His attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, also addressed the situation when speaking with TMZ.

"Why she feels she's entitled to sabotage his employment opportunities and why she feels that's in the best interest of their child is puzzling and hard to believe. It just reflects an untethered mean-spiritedness that will ultimately ill serve her best interests,” Kaplan said.

Cartwright and Taylor have been dealing with their separation for more than two years.

Cartwright first announced that they were taking time apart during the February 29, 2024, episode of their “When Reality Hits” podcast.

At the time, she opened up about the difficult period without going into extensive detail.

“Marriages are very hard and I had a particularly rough year,” she admitted. “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health. I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still really hard to talk about.”

Months later, in August 2024, Cartwright officially filed for divorce from Taylor, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The former couple now have to navigate their relationship as coparents. They share 5-year-old son Cruz Cauchi, who has been diagnosed with autism.

Despite their separation, the divorce has not yet been finalized.

Cartwright previously gave an update on where things stood between her and Taylor while discussing their ongoing legal process.

“Still going through it. Lots of ups and downs. Still not divorced, we have a date. I'm hoping it works out. Hopefully, it’s soon,” she previously confessed.
