Jenna Ortega’s sister, Aliyah Ortega, appeared to back a post telling fans to “mind [their] business and leave @jennaortega alone” after people questioned the actress’ appearance online.

Aliyah, 22, commented with three exclamation points on an Instagram post defending the Wednesday star. The post criticized speculation about Jenna’s health after her recent Esquire interview.

The Instagram message urged fans not to make assumptions about Jenna Ortega based on her appearance or comments from an interview.

The Instagram message came after Jenna, 23, opened up about her experiences as a child actor during her Esquire sit-down. She recalled going to extremes to avoid becoming a burden while working as a young performer.

The post referenced Jenna’s admission that she would "go all day" without eating or drinking as a child because she did not want to "be in the way."

"We don’t know what she may be going through, and we shouldn’t assume anything based on appearances or a few comments from an interview," the caption continued.

Jenna Ortega reflected on her experiences as a child actor and the pressures she faced early in her career.

Jenna’s recent comments also offered insight into how early her acting career began.

During the interview, the Golden Globe nominee recalled telling her parents about her acting ambitions when she was 7 years old.

"That kind of was the root of everything. The motivation," Jenna said.

She continued, "I never really stopped, because I’m very stubborn. And then I never questioned it."

The actress previously considered leaving the industry while transitioning from her younger roles on Stuck in the Middle and Jane the Virgin to more mature projects.

Jenna Ortega recalled nearly leaving acting before booking a role on 'You' and continuing her career.

Jenna discussed that turning point during an appearance on Kid Cudi’s "Big Bro" podcast in April. She reflected on the conversations she had with her team before ultimately deciding whether to leave acting behind.

"It just felt like a good time to call it quits if I was going to," Jenna said.

She continued, "I was starting high school, and, 'it was a good run' sort of thing. We had talked about it for a few months with my team."

Her plans changed after she landed a role on You.

She revealed, "I booked that show 'You,' and then I went on that set, and I loved it and had the best time. I thought, 'Yeah, there’s no way I could let this go.'"
