Music superstar Jennifer Lopez has been linked to some of Hollywood’s biggest names — with many of them resulting in heartbreak for the Latin singer.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” crooner has been married three times, and in between marriages has famously dated some handsome hunks, such as Ben Affleck and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
OK! learned in March 2021 that Lopez and her latest beau, MLB legend Alex Rodriguez, were “working through some things” amid reports that the power couple had called it quits and rumors that the athlete had been involved with reality TV star Madison LeCroy.
As OK! recently reported, although their relationship is a little rocky, Lopez and the former New York Yankees player are “moving full speed ahead” with their wedding plans. “The 24-hour breakup has made both of them realize how much they love each other,” an insider exclusively dished to OK!, adding that a wedding “could happen in the next few weeks.”
All of Lopez’s relationships have had their ups and downs, but the World of Dance judge and producer has never given up on finding her happy ever after.
Scroll through the gallery below to take a trip down memory lane. OK! relives Lopez’s dating history — from her engagements to Affleck and Rodriguez to her marriage to Marc Anthony and more.
Ojani Noa
Lopez's first husband was producer Ojani Noa; the two tied the knot in 1997. Since their split 11 months later, Lopez's ex-husband has popped up in her life from time to time. In 2004, Lopez was able to put in place a confidentiality agreement between both parties that she later claimed he was violating when he shopped around both a tell-all book and a honeymoon tape. Noa appeared on an episode of Millionaire Matchmaker in 2016.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
The Selena star began dating the hip-hop mogul in 1999 after the two superstars met on the set of a music video. The former flames eventually called it quits in 2001. Lopez claimed that Diddy was unfaithful during their relationship. "I never caught him, but I just knew. He'd say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night," she said during an interview in 2003.

Almost immediately following her split from Diddy, Lopez married backup dancer Cris Judd, whom she met on the set of her “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” video. The two tied the knot in 2001 and eventually split less than a year later in June 2002.
Ben Affleck
The duo, lovingly referred to as “Bennifer,” met while filming the critically panned rom-com Gigli. The two got engaged in November 2002 and enjoyed a rather long engagement before calling off their wedding four days ahead of the big event and eventually split in 2004.
Marc Anthony
After tumultuous relationships on both parts, Lopez and Anthony married in June 2004 and welcomed twins Max and Emme in February 2008. The pair ultimately ended their relationship in July 2011. They have remained dedicated to co-parenting their kids and have remained friendly with one another, even sharing an onstage kiss during the Latin Grammys in 2016.
Beau ‘Casper’ Smart
She has a thing for backup dancers! Four months after her split from Anthony, the “Let’s Get Loud” songstress began dating Smart in 2004. Lopez went on to hire the dancer as the creative director of her All I Have residency in Las Vegas. The former couple had a minor hiccup in their relationship when reports surfaced that Smart had been exchanging explicit photos and messages with a transgender model in 2014. The on-again, off-again couple split for good in 2016.
Alex Rodriguez
Lopez and the athlete made their red carpet debut at the 2017 Met Gala after they were first linked earlier that year. The lovebirds announced their engagement in March 2019 — but they had to postpone their wedding multiple times due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The duo hit a bump in the road in March 2021 when rumors surfaced that Rodriguez may have been unfaithful with Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy.
After a rumored split, the duo declared they were “working through some things” and were dedicated to sticking together. OK! exclusively reported on March 18, 2021, that the power couple were moving “full speed ahead” with their wedding plans despite their relationship being a little rocky.
