Actor Ben Affleck’s attempts to rekindle his romance with ex, Jennifer Lopez, appear to be working. After the two spent some serious quality time together — first at the singer’s Los Angeles mansion, then during a Montana getaway — new reports are surfacing that Lopez isn’t ruling out a Bennifer reunion.
Lopez “is open to having a relationship” with Affleck, nearly two decades after they were first engaged, a source dished, adding that the Latin superstar “wants to spend as much time with Ben as possible to see where this could go.”
OK! was the first to exclusively spill that Lopez and her ex — who called off their September 2003 wedding, broke up, then got back together before ultimately calling it quits in early 2004 — had been in private communication since the decline of her relationship with MLB legend Alex Rodriguez.
Then, OK! learned that Affleck had been secretly wooing his former fiancée, sending her love notes while she was still engaged to the athlete, with reports claiming the emails date back to February.
A source claimed that after Affleck saw snaps of Lopez down in the Dominican Republic — where she was filming Shotgun Wedding and apparently trying to work on her fractured relationship with Rodriguez — he wrote to her to “tell her how beautiful she looked” and how he “wished he could be down there with her.” (Affleck was in Boston filming The Tender Bar with pal George Clooney at the time.)
The timing of their private communication makes a little more sense as to why the former flames were quick to reunite after Lopez landed back in Los Angeles once filming wrapped in late April.

OK! previously reported that Affleck was spotted multiple times outside the “If You Had My Love” singer’s house during the day after she returned home from the D.R. The actor — who shares three children with ex Jennifer Garner — was snapped being picked up in a white Escalade SUV, which apparently belongs to J.Lo, before being escorted to her mansion.
Following their secret hangs at the singer’s Hollywood abode, the former Jersey Girl costars took a quick getaway to Montana near a resort in Big Sky where Affleck has a home. "[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town,” a source dished at the time, adding the two “have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy."
Their romantic getaway, which OK! learned included a stay at the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club, where the Batman star is a member, saw the two taking intimate walks and dips in the hot tubs as well as having fabulous meals cooked by a private chef. It must have worked wonders on Lopez, as she appears to be fully committed to giving her relationship with Affleck another chance.
