Former First Lady Jill Biden declined to rule out the possibility that former President Joe Biden could have been drugged before his disastrous June 2024 presidential debate against Donald Trump.

During an interview on "The Jamie Kern Lima Show," which aired on Thursday, August 20, the host asked point-blank, "There's no way anyone could have, God forbid, laced his drink or something?"

Jill responded, "Who knows? Who knows?"

The 75-year-old former FLOTUS admitted that while watching the live broadcast from the audience, she was so horrified by his performance that she genuinely questioned if he was suffering a medical emergency.

She recalled thinking, "Is he okay? Is he okay?" and wondering if he was having a stroke.

Jill Biden isn't ruling out that her husband could have been drugged during the debate.

“I mean, Joe and I both had a team of doctors around both of us at all times, and he had a team; I had a team, as all first ladies and presidents have. They checked him out. I mean, once we got off the stage, I went to the green room to get my pocketbook and all that stuff, and he went to his staff and the docs, and they said, ‘Jill, he’s fine. He’s okay.’ I mean, I had so much anxiety about it. Like, ‘What’s wrong? What’s going on?’ But we went on to do three events that night, and he was fine!” Jill explained.

When asked if doctors definitively ruled out a stroke that night, she noted that medical staff examined him immediately after the debate and confirmed he was fine, leaving the performance "inexplicable" to her.

Joe Biden Was Exhausted

Jill Biden said her husband was exhausted from traveling.

“That’s what’s so inexplicable. Like, he was fine! He got up on the stage. He made a speech. We went to the Waffle House…and, you know, greeted people. And then we went to North Carolina, and he got off that plane at three o’clock in the morning ... there’s a band playing, the lights, and hundreds of supporters, and [we] greeted them. They were so excited, and he went around and shook everybody’s hand. And a week or two later, he was attending a conference with NATO. It was like such an aberration,” she said.

She emphasized that Joe had been traveling heavily and was visibly exhausted and feeling unwell on the day of the event. Because she had been on the road herself for two weeks prior, she only saw him about an hour before he took the stage.

Joe Biden now has cancer.

When asked what her gut feeling was about the situation, Jill told the podcast host, “I can’t figure it out. That is my honest-to-God true answer. I don’t know.”

The interview builds upon claims Jill first introduced in her memoir earlier this year, where she wrote that she privately wondered if her husband had been drugged or was "malfunctioning" like a glitching hologram during the debate.

Her decision to entertain these conspiracy theories publicly has sparked significant political backlash.

Former Biden administration aides and political commentators have expressed frustration with the book tour, questioning why a painful and damaging chapter for the Democratic Party — which ultimately led to Joe ending his reelection campaign — is being publicly reopened.
