The true crime saga that swept the nation! Gabby Petito was first reported missing on September 11, 2021, after she had embarked on a cross country road trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie — who returned home from their summer adventure without his partner. On September 21, 2021, the influencer's body was found at Grand Teton National Park where she was last seen on a camping trip with Brian. Gabby's death was ruled a homicide by the FBI. Her autopsy revealed the 22-year-old had died after being strangled manually.
After a nationwide manhunt, Laundrie committed suicide. The 23-year-old's remains were discovered on October 20, 2021, in the Carlton Reserve from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said after his body was found, "That guy went out there and by all accounts probably committed suicide and he was right out there where we thought he was."
The Return Of Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez: Bennifer 2.0
Back together! The lovebirds — who called off their 2003 wedding — reconnected in April after Lopez split from MLB slugger Alex Rodriguez. They set the internet ablaze after making their official red carpet debut as Bennifer 2.0 at the Venice Film Festival in September.
The pair seem to be on the right track for a wedding, as OK! reported Affleck, 49, was spotted browsing through engagement rings at Tiffany's in Century City, Calif., in August. The star-crossed lovers have also worked on blending their two families. The 52-year-old actress shares 13-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony, while the Argo director shares Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Christine Brown's Shocking Split From Hubby Kody
The breakup that shocked a nation! Christine Brown revealed she and hubby Kody Brown had called it quits in November. "After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave," the 49-year-old mother-of-six wrote via Instagram at the time. "We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family," she continued. "At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family."
Kody wrote in his own statement, "Christine's decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents." The Sister Wives stars tied the knot in March 1994 and share six children together: Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.
Chris Noth's Death In 'And Just Like That...' & Shocking Sexual Assault Claims
The actor had a big year! Not only did his character Mr. Big die in the season premiere of the highly anticipated Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That…, he was also accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
The 67-year-old came under fire when two women — identified as Zoe, now 40, and Lily, now 31 — alleged he had sexually assaulted them in 2004 and 2015 respectively. Noth immediately denied the allegations, claiming the past encounters were consensual. "The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false," he said in a statement. "These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."
Making matters worse, a third accuser, named Ava, came forward claiming the Law & Order alum assaulted her at a New York restaurant in 2010 when she was only 18-years-old. Then a fourth came forward late December with a similar story. After the shocking accusations, OK! learned talks for a season 2 of And Just Like That… have reportedly been scrapped.
