Josh Heuston’s departure from Off Campus has taken fans by surprise, especially following recent teasers regarding Season 2.
The 29-year-old actor, who portrayed Justin, expressed his hopes for the character's future in an interview with Us Weekly prior to the announcement of his exit.
Heuston stated, “That’s above my pay grade, but I just hope Justin finds love and continues to be happy while writing music.”
His sentiments reflect a desire for Justin to thrive, even as he transitions away from the series.

Josh Heuston said he hopes Justin continues writing music and eventually finds lasting love after his exit from the series.
The actor described Justin as “a little lover boy at heart,” indicating that he believes the character will continue to pursue love and creativity.
Heuston noted, “I think things went the way that they went but I think he’ll just continue to do that. He’ll probably go write some nice music about how heartbroken he is and then come back and try to find his love.”

Louisa Levy confirmed that Josh Heuston will not appear in 'Off Campus' Season 2 because of scheduling availability.
Earlier this year, creator Louisa Levy confirmed to TV Guide that Justin would not return for Season 2.
“Not next season, but I love Josh and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point,” she commented.
Levy hinted at the potential for a future storyline involving Stella, the character Justin ends up with in the books.
She acknowledged that Justin’s absence was not the original plan, stating, “We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never.”
The uncertainty surrounding Justin’s fate has sparked discussions among fans.

Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s book series, premiered in May and follows an elite ice hockey team and their relationships.
Season 1 focused on the romance between Hannah, portrayed by Ella Bright, and Garrett, played by Belmont Cameli.
Bright and Cameli confirmed their return for future seasons, addressing concerns about the show’s direction.
Cameli remarked, “I totally understand your concern,” referring to the evolving focus on different couples.
He emphasized their commitment to the series, stating, “We will be along for the ride the whole time.”
Bright added that they plan to “stick around,” building excitement for the upcoming season.

Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright confirmed they will remain part of the series as the story shifts to different couples.
As Off Campus streams on Prime Video, viewers remain curious about the implications of Heuston’s departure.
While the show has been renewed for Season 2, the dynamics will undoubtedly shift. Fans are eager to see how the storyline unfolds without Justin and whether Heuston may return in the future.
