Where Does Kanye West & Irina Shayk's Relationship Stand? Insider Sets The Record Straight On The 'Lies'
After rumors began swirling that Kanye West and model Irina Shayk’s whirlwind romance was cooling off, sources are setting the record straight on the status of the duo's relationship.
Insiders insist the rapper and Shayk are still dating, noting that the 35-year-old model is fed up with the “lies” that say otherwise. "Irina is so upset” about the reports claiming she and West have split, a source explained.
As OK! previously spilled, West reportedly asked Shayk to accompany him to a couture show in Paris during Fashion Week, but she turned him down — with one of the reasons being the Russian model wanted to avoid the mania that surrounds the “Famous” crooner. "She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him," an insider said.
"She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up [in Paris with him]," the insider added. "It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating."
Now, insiders are claiming those rumors are “just not true,” noting: “Kanye went to Paris for the Balenciaga show to support Demna [Gvasalia]. He was in and out, only there for 3 hours," which is why the lovers didn’t spend time with one another.

"They are very much still dating,” the source concluded. “They were just together for the 4th of July weekend in San Francisco where he's working right now."

The 44-year-old rapper and Shayk sparked romance rumors in June after they were snapped celebrating West’s birthday in France. The pair reportedly shacked up at the luxury 600-acre boutique hotel, Villa La Coste, where they stayed for three nights.
News of the Grammy winner’s relationship with the Sports Illustrated model came less than six months after his messy split from ex Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce in February after six years of marriage.
West and Kardashian share four kids, North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, whereas Shayk shares 3-year-old daughter Lea with actor Bradley Cooper.
