NEWSKendall Jenner Reveals Tequila 818 Brand Four Years In The Making — Kim Kardashian 'Wasn't A Drinker' Until She 'Tried'
Unlike her sisters who ventured into makeup, fashion and beauty endeavors, Kendall Jenner’s latest project goes great with tacos: The 25-year-old beauty is launching a tequila brand.
"For almost 4 years i’ve been on a journey to create the best tasting tequila. after dozens of blind taste tests, trips to our distillery, entering into world tasting competitions anonymously and WINNING (🥳) ..3.5 years later i think we’ve done it!" Jenner shared on Instagram with a series of photos and clips of the drink.
"This is all we’ve been drinking for the last year and i can’t wait for everyone else to get their hands on this to enjoy it as much as we do! @drink818 coming soon," she concluded her post.
"I like this one," Jenner said in a clip after trying two different drinks in a blind test, which was met by cheers from her team. The model showed off three different kinds of tequila from 818: Blanco Tequila, Reposado Tequila and Añejo Tequila.
Fans, famous pals and, of course, her family took to the comments to congratulate the brunette beauty.
"KENDALL!!!!! yes!!! i’ve seen all the hard work and LOVE you’ve put into 818!!! and u did it .. the best tequila !!! proud of u," Kylie Jenner gushed in the comments.
"So proud of you! I wasn’t a drinker until I tried 818. Tequila shots all day!!!" Kim Kardashian wrote.
"Kenny Joon!!!!!!!! My baby boo! It has been a complete on her being your tequila taste tester for the past few years! I am so proud of you! I cannot wait for everyone to taste all your hard work! I love you and I’m so proud of you my tequila queen," Khloé Kardashian said.
Kendall also shared proof that the tequila won awards, such as Best Reposado Tequila at the World Tequila Awards and the Chairman's trophy at the Ultimate Spirit Challenge, and she also took home a gold medal at the MicroLiquor Spirit Awards.
"Best in class...yet we don't know what it looks like, who makes it, or how to get our hands on a bottle," a winning description read. The Ultimate Spirit Challenge wrote that 818 has an "Earthy aroma of pine and yellow fruits mix with vanilla. Sweet on the palate with brown sugar, vanilla syrup and spicy cardamom."
Jenner did not share a release date for 818 tequila or where it can be purchased but it was slated as approximately $59.99 per bottle.
