It's Official! Kim Kardashian Files For Divorce From Kanye West
After rumors of marriage issues circulated for months, Kim Kardashian has officially filed for divorce Kanye West after seven years of marriage.
Sources say the 40-year-old Skims designer is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's four kids — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 20 months — and that the couple is committed to co-parenting together.
The rapper and reality starlet do reportedly have a prenup, and the source says neither party plans on contesting it.
The paperwork was filed by Kardashian's lawyer Laura Wasser, although a date of separation is not listed.
The news comes as a shock to no one. As OK! previously reported, the couple has had "no contact" with one another as of late. Earlier this month, the Yeezy designer flew back to Los Angeles via his private jet from Wyoming but did not see his wife.
"Kanye did not return to the family home when he arrived in L.A. Instead he has been staying at a hotel and a private house," a source exclusively told OK!. "He basically returned to get his stuff, meet with lawyers and look for a new home for him and his children.
"Kanye has a lot of stuff, including a 500-pair sneaker collection, however what he wanted the most were his awards and a few personal items that belonged to his mom," the insider added.
"Kanye deeply cares about awards, that's why he gets so upset when he doesn't win," added a pal. "For someone so confident, it's surprising how much validation he needs. Kayne can buy new clothes and sneakers, but he can't buy new awards."

Another OK! insider said that Kardashian had already come to terms with the fact that she and West "are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family." But, despite the split, she still seems to want West in their kids' lives.
"Kim has made it clear that Kanye can talk to his children anytime he wants," the insider disclosed. "She has never threatened to keep him from the kids. She only requires that he is not going to damage them. Kanye can FaceTime the kids anytime he wants. He hasn't been great about that, but everyone is encouraging him to do it."
The source added that the brunette beauty "doesn't want to hurt" the "Power" crooner, 43, but "she just knows she can't be married to him anymore. He is very aware that she has been a good wife. He still loves her very much. But he understands."
Their split will reportedly play out on the final season of KUWTK, which will premiere March 18 on E!.
