King Charles is reportedly welcoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move back to Britain with their children.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly already secured a non-royal residence in Harry's home country. More importantly, their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are also ready to enrol at school in the U.K. in September.

Per the outlet, this indicates that the estranged royals had been planning this move for quite some time.

As a result, their silence on the matter during their emotional reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla on Friday, July 10, at Highgrove House, is raising questions.

Per the outlet, however, the ailing King is more than happy to keep in touch with his youngest son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a more private capacity.

The report also pointed out that, despite their move back home, the Sussexes will not take an active role in royal duties, per the Sandringham Agreement of January 2020, which declared that the couple could not balance their royal life with their private business ventures.

However, if the prodigal son were to step back into his senior royal shoes, he would have to reach an agreement with his father on the matter.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are returning to Britain six years after moving to the United States.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have previously spoken about their distaste for royal life on multiple occasions. Harry also highlighted the rift in the family in his tell-all memoir, Spare.

As a result, their sudden move to the country for “an extended period of time” has raised a lot of eyebrows.

Whether it stemmed from the Prince’s wish to reconcile with his family or from wanting to participate in his U.K.-based charities, like the WellChild Foundation, Scotty’s Little Soldiers and Walking With The Wounded, remains unclear.
