Beaming Prince Harry Spotted for First Time Since Return to Britain Revelation

Prince Harry was spotted for the first time after his shock revelation about his return to Britain, smiling from ear to ear.

The news broke on Wednesday, August 19, that the prodigal son will finally move back home with his family, including his wife, Meghan Markle, son Prince Archie, 7, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 5, at the end of August for “an extended period of time,” per The Sun.

The Duke of Sussex attended a roundtable meeting in support of veterans in Washington, DC, the same day the news broke, and he appeared to be in high spirits.

The prince has long been passionate about supporting injured military veterans and their families through his charity ventures, most notably through his Invictus Games, which he launched in 2014.

He promoted the 2027 season of the games, which is expected to take place in Birmingham, just a few weeks ago during his U.K. visit.

He showed the same zeal while speaking at the event on August 19. He reportedly also had a conversation with Sarah Verado, the CEO of The Independence Fund, a charity that aids critically injured and ill veterans and their families with their needs, per the outlet.

While he remained focused on the matter throughout the meeting, he was also spotted having a laugh at one point with another participant and fellow ginger, William Bringer.

The Duke reportedly put his hand on Bringer’s shoulder and scratched at his own sparse hair while the two appeared to joke and laugh with each other.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping back from their roles as senior royals in 2020 and moved across the pond with their son shortly thereafter.

Their daughter was born in America in 2021. Although the prince has returned to his homeland quite a few times over the years, his family did not have the chance to do so after Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee in 2022.

Their public condemnation of the royal family since moving to the States, whether through interviews, documentaries, or Harry's book, Spare, highlighted the rift in their relationship with the royals.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were finally able to reunite their family with King Charles III in July this year at Highgrove House, where the ailing king reportedly also spent quality time with his grandchildren.

Now, just a few weeks after that visit, it seems like the Stateside royals are ready to return home. However, what impact it will have on their relationship with the royal family remains to be seen.

Particularly because, per the outlet, Harry and Markle do not plan on undertaking any senior royal duties during their stay in Britain.
