Meghan Markle Reveals Being a Mom to Princess Lilibet Is Her 'Superpower'

Meghan Markle has revealed that being a mother keeps her "brave" – with sources exclusively telling OK! the duchess feels parenthood is her secret "superpower."

As our readers know, the 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex shares Lilibet and Prince Archie, 7, with her husband Prince Harry, 41.

Meghan opened up about motherhood while answering questions from children in an InStyle video promoting Cookie Queens, the new documentary she and Harry produced through Archewell Productions about young Girl Scouts competing to sell cookies.

A source familiar with the project told us: "Motherhood is at the heart of so much of what matters to Meghan now, and Lili and Archie are inevitably a huge influence on the way she looks at young people and their confidence. She loves seeing that fearlessness children can have and has spoken about drawing strength from it herself."

"Lili has a particularly determined personality, and Meghan clearly gets a lot of inspiration from watching her approach the world. There are moments when Meghan might question herself, but thinking about how her daughter would tackle something gives her that extra push. For Meghan, being a mom isn't something separate from the other parts of her life – it's central to how she sees herself and what motivates her, and she sees it as her superpower," the source continued.

Asked during the Q&A to name her superpower, Meghan said: "Being a mum."

She went on: "I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all and enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time."

When one of the children asked what made her feel brave, Meghan pointed directly to her daughter.

She said: "Every day, when I feel a little bit like, 'Oh gosh, can I do this?' I go: 'Lili would do it.'"

Meghan also revealed what kind of Girl Scout cookie best reflected her personality.

She said: "Trefoil I think, it's classic! It's classic, it's sweet, it's all the same and I like tonal dressing! It's the worst answer ever."

The former Suits actress encouraged young girls to "follow their gut" and revealed that her childhood role model was her math teacher, Miss Linda.

Asked about being inspired by the Girl Scouts featured in the documentary, Meghan said: "These girls are so multi-dimensional and honest. Also, just behind the scenes and getting to know them through this process, how they've all become close with each other and support each other. I think we're our own little troop!"

Cookie Queens, produced by Archewell Productions alongside Beautiful Stories and AJNA Films, premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and follows four girls attempting to become a top-selling "Cookie Queen."

Speaking at Sundance, Meghan said: "This film is probably the cutest at the festival, but I'm also going to go out on a limb and say it is one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of something that is an American tradition and rooted in nostalgia. So yes, it's cute, and yes, these young ladies are fantastic and adorable, but they are also layered, beautiful girls who are about to become very strong leaders and young women. So thank you for supporting that."
