Donald Trump fired Kristi Noem from her Homeland Security job in March amid mounting backlash.

As OK! reported, the ICE raids in January 2026 resulted in the fatal shootings of U.S. citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti. At the time, Noem was still the secretary of Homeland Security.

"I want to address the dangerous environment that our ICE officers face on the streets today," she said afterwards, defending her department's violent actions. "They are facing a serious and escalating threat as a result of deliberate mischaracterizations of their heroic work and rhetoric that demonizes our law enforcement."

After countless Americans called for her to resign, Donald Trump fired her from the job in March.

Kristi Noem was 'blindsided' by her husband's crossdressing scandal.

Adding to the drama was Noem's personal life, as she and Lewandowski, her former adviser, had sparked dating rumors a while ago. However, they are still both married to other people.

Noem's life blew up in late March when husband Bryon Noem's double secret life was exposed, as it was revealed he likes to cross dress and chat with women in the "bimbofication" scene. He also allegedly paid more than $25,000 to multiple adult content creators who enhance their b------ to look like Barbie dolls.

One leaked photo showed Bryon with huge balloons placed under his shirt to mimic a woman's chest, while in another snap, he was seen wearing pink hot pants. One report claimed he sent messages to women telling them he wanted to be a girl.

In July, Kristi's mother, Corinne Arnold, claimed her daughter was in the process of ending the marriage.

"It has been difficult, but we knew this was coming, that they were going to get divorced," Corinne told Daily Mail.

Kristi and Bryon married in 1992 and share three kids.
