La La Anthony Files For Divorce From NBA Star Husband Carmelo After 11 Years Of Marriage
La La and Carmelo's Anthony's marriage is officially over.
The 41-year-old filed for divorce from the NBA star on Thursday, June 17 in New York, citing irreconcilable differences.
TMZ reports that.a source says that the former couple have been separated "for a while," but "remain friends, as always, after 16 years together, and everything about the divorce is amicable."
On Christmas Day 2004, the former Total Request Live host became engaged to the athlete and they welcomed their son Kiyan Carmelo Anthony in Match 2007.
The duo later starred in the spin-off VH1 reality series, La La's Full Court Life which aired for five seassons from 2011 to 2014,

The Anthonys first split in 2017 when Carmelo reportedly cheated on La La and allegedly fathered a daughter with mistress Mia Burkes. They reconciled by late 2018 but remained on shaky grounds with amid constant whispers of the baller's continuing infidelities.
"La La's fingers have always been ready to dial her lawyer’s number, but she was trying to protect Kiyan," a source revealed back in 2019. "La La is over the embarrassment and tired of looking like a fool."
Before their official spot, the actress told Page Six last April that she, Carmelo and their son were quarantining together in Los Angeles amid the pandemic."I left New York because it was getting a little too hectic quarantining in my small apartment with my nieces, cousins and the rest of my family, so we came out and rented a house in L.A.,” she said.
The news of La La's divorce comes hot on the heels of the end of her BFF Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kanye West. The TV personality has appeared numerous times on Keeping Up With The Kardashians over the years and attended the SKIMS founder and rapper's nuptials in Italy back in 2014.
