"Liam's made it clear that he's ready to walk down the aisle again," the friend says of the Hunger Games hunk, 31, who called it quits with longtime love Miley Cyrus in 2019. "Everyone is thrilled because Gabriella is so sweet and easygoing, which is just what Liam needs."
The 24-year-old beauty has already gotten the stamp of approval from the Hemsworth clan, who had long been skeptical of his ex-wife Cyrus.
"When Liam brought Gabriella home, his parents thought, 'That's more like it,'" the pal dishes to OK!.
And now that Hemsworth's settled in at his new $5 million spread on Byron Bay (a former wedding venue!), "all signs point to him popping the question," adds the pal. "He's never been happier!"
Hemsworth seems to have officially moved on from his relationship with the former Disney star — and so has she.
Appearing on the Howard Stern Show on December 2 of last year, Cyrus — who called it quits with Hemsworth just eight months after tying the knot in December 2018 — revealed that she "did love him very, very, very much" but said that it simply just wasn't going to work out.
During her chat on the show, the blonde beauty gave more insights into her marriage, explaining that they were together since 16 and had been through so much together.
"Our house burned down. We had been like, engaged — I don't know if we really ever thought we were actually going to get married, but when we lost our house in Malibu — which if you listen to my voice pre and post-fire, they're very different so that trauma really affected my voice," she told Howard Stern.
But, despite the ups and downs, the singer took a lot of life lessons from their on-off relationship.
"I learned a lot about what I can and cannot be for someone else and what I can and cannot accept for myself," she revealed.
