Lizzo Posts Nude 'Unedited Selfie' To Change The 'Conversation About Beauty Standards' — See The NSFW Snap
Body-normative advocate Lizzo is baring all in partnership with Dove to change the perception of what is considered beautiful in society.
The “Good as Hell” singer announced her collaboration with the beauty brand on Tuesday, April 20, by stripping down and sharing an “unedited selfie” to “help reverse the negative effects of social media.”
"♉️WELCOME TO TAURUS SEASON♉️,” the superstar, who turns 33 next week, captioned her NSFW photo. “Now normally I would fix my belly and smooth my skin but baby I wanted show u how I do it au natural.” Lizzo explained that her mission for posting the risqué snap was to change the “conversation about beauty standards,” she wrote, adding: “Let’s get real y’all 🙆🏾.”
Famous friends and fans of the “Juice” crooner praised her for owning who she is and spreading body positivity. “It’s you having no blemishes at ALL lol .. sigh I jus admire u Fren😢,” singer SZA said. She added, “I wanna drop the FaceTime pics,” alluding that there could be even more sexy snaps out there (and, yes... we’ll be on the lookout!).
“MORE LIKE WELCOME TO GORGEOUS SEASON !!! 😍❤️😘,” creative director for fashion brand Moschino Jeremy Scott wrote, while a fan commented: “Chris Evans better jump on that,” referencing Lizzo drunkenly sliding into the Captain America alum's DMs on the ‘gram.
As OK! previously reported, Lizzo revealed on Saturday, April 17, via TikTok that she messaged the Avengers star while a little tipsy to shoot her shot with a wind blowing emoji, an athlete emoji and a basketball emoji.
In the clip, she lip-synched to audio from TikToker Tatayanna Mitchell saying, "I know I'm not gonna be able to marry him, and honestly it hurts me to the core, because damn papa, he a rare breed." She captioned her video, "Don't drink and DM, kids… for legal porpoises (sic) this is a joke."
In a follow-up video, Lizzo revealed that Evans not only started following her (he wasn’t before), but responded to her DM. “No shame in a drunk DM,” he wrote, with a kissing face emoji. “God knows I’ve done worse on this app lol.”
While he didn’t specifically address it, we can assume the Knives Out star was referring to the nude photo of his penis he accidentally leaked last year via his Instagram Story. While speaking about the NSFW snap on the Tamron Hall Show, he said, “Things happen, and it’s embarrassing. You have to roll with punches.”
