Donald Trump's supporters have theorized that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's exit from the United States is a direct result of his presidency.

The couple announced their return to the United Kingdom after six years of living in California with their young children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, on August 19.

While the couple did not specify a reason for returning, theorists on social media have been quick to toss around their ideas as to why the couple may be making their escape from the United States.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are leaving California after six years.

Multiple reports suggested that the couple are not fans of the president, prompting both taunting and celebration from his supporters.

"They have made no secret of their disillusionment with the current White House," People reported, pointing out that Harry and Meghan may be interested in making their escape prior to the midterm elections.

The couple still plans to keep their residences in California and Portugal and will live in a well-guarded private home at an undisclosed location in the United Kingdom.

Donald Trump's allies were quick to express their thoughts on social media.

The president's allies gleefully taunted the couple on social media, leaning into speculation that the White House was the reason for their exit.

Katie Miller, the wife of deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, alleged that Meghan "always wanted to be a celebrity" in a scathing X post.

"They are moving back to Britain because they don’t like President Trump," she added plainly.

Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly reposted a cheeky upload about the infamous "Megxit" being reversed after more than five years.

"We’ve done our time here in America, my dear friend!" she commented gleefully.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not cited the reason for their departure.

Conservative commentator Mark Jaxon referred to Meghan and Harry as "entitled grifters" and poked fun at them as the latest victims of the "Trump curse."

"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are fleeing the USA for the U.K. permanently," he said online. "The entitled grifters who are known for failed Netflix shows and hating on President Trump are finally headed back home. The Trump Curse is real. Good riddance."

Tension between the president and the royal couple dates back to 2019, when Meghan refused to meet with him alongside the rest of the royal family.

Donald Trump 's contention with the couple started in 2019.

In January, Harry and Trump clashed over the president's claim that the U.S.'s NATO allies "stayed a little back" during the war in Afghanistan.

"Every allied nation was obliged to stand with the United States ... in pursuit of our shared security," the Afghan veteran fired back. "Allies answered that call. I served there. I made lifelong friends there. And I lost friends there."

Other theories for the couple's relocation included King Charles' health and rumors of financial troubles among the couple, though none have been confirmed.
