Following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's recent failure at the box office with their Girl Scout documentary, Cookie Queens, the pair are being advised to take a step back from their business ventures.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex cool it with their brand endeavors so they can build up a fanbase who will actually stay interested in their work.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Reputation Has a Chance to 'Recover'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exited the royal family in 2020.
“I would tell them to disappear professionally for a little while, dramatically reduce the number of announcements, and identify one genuinely compelling project with experienced people around them who know how to execute it,” Schofield told Page Six on Saturday, August 15.
“Reputation recovery is possible, but I don’t think it comes from another rebrand or another glossy publicity campaign,” the commentator said. “I would recommend the opposite. Less talking, fewer announcements and more execution.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Departed The Firm in 2020

'With Love, Meghan' was canceled earlier this year.
Since the Suits star, 45, and the Invictus Games founder, 41, left the royal family in 2020, they've attempted several business undertakings such their Spotify podcast, "Archetypes," producing content for Netflix, as well as Meghan launching her lifestyle brand As Ever.
The former actress' Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan was canceled earlier this year after two seasons, and her deal with Spotify ended in 2023.
As for Cookie Queens, the documentary was released earlier this month and was executive produced by the Sussexes under their Archewell Productions banner.

'Cookie Queens' Earned Approximately Less Than $355,000 at the Box Office

'Cookie Queens' was executive produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The documentary follows four young Girl Scouts as they encounter challenges and victories during cookie-selling season.
“When you try to establish authority in every category simultaneously, you can end up establishing authority in none of them. Pick a lane, become good at it and allow success to rebuild credibility," Schofield added.

'They need to stop treating their celebrity as the product,' a royal expert noted about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Schofield also explained Meghan and Harry should cease talking about their royal family exit and focus more on fine-tuning their products.
“They need to stop treating their celebrity as the product and start creating products strong enough to survive without their celebrity," the “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered" host noted.
“There are only so many times you can tell audiences why you left the royal family,” she continued. “If they want longevity in entertainment, they have to prove people are interested in their taste, ideas and storytelling when the monarchy isn’t the hook.”
