Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Lookalike Kids Steal the Show in Sweet Family Holiday Snap

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones’ lookalike children, Dylan Douglas and Carys Douglas, stole the spotlight in a sweet family holiday Instagram post.

"A nice family evening! Hope you all have a wonderful and fun weekend ahead! MD," Michael wrote.

The family appeared to be enjoying drinks together at sunset, with Catherine bringing classic glamor to the occasion in a one-shoulder black dress.

Their daughter, Carys, complemented the elegant setting in a silk green gown with a lace neckline, while Dylan joined his parents for the relaxed family moment.

Carys, 23, has been carving out her own path in the performing arts. After graduating from Brown University last year, she made her New York City theater debut in Anton Chekhov’s play The Seagull in July.

The production ran from June 20 to 27 at St. Lydia’s in Brooklyn, where Carys performed alongside the cast.

A viral video shared on Instagram captured moments from one of her performances before the cast took a bow, with Carys later seen signing autographs for attendees.

Her theater debut was also a source of pride for her family. A friend of Carys previously told the Daily Mail that her parents were "so proud" of the milestone.

Carys previously spoke to People about her experience with theater while discussing her plans after college.

"I grew up doing theater, and I didn't study acting in school, but that's why I'm happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that," Carys said.

Carys previously reflected on her upbringing in 2018, speaking with Town & Country alongside her mother.

"My parents do a really good job of reality-checking me and being like, 'Look around you. The life you have is extraordinary,'" she said.

However, Catherine also reflected on the lessons she emphasized while raising her children.

"What I instilled in my kids, and I'm very, very proud of it, is manners. There's nothing worse than a privileged kid without manners. I drilled it into them like boot camp," Catherine admitted.

She also recalled setting firm boundaries for Carys' early years.

"The teenage years... She knows she cannot roll her eyes at me, or huff and puff around me. I never did it to my mother, and she's not doing it to me," Catherine added.

Both Carys and Dylan have shown an interest in acting, following in their parents’ footsteps while pursuing their own paths.

Speaking on the Today Show in 2021, Catherine opened up about how she and Michael approached their children’s interest in acting.

"Michael and I would be the first parents to say, 'You know, maybe you should think of another career,'" Catherine said.

Catherine also spoke about how she viewed their interest in the industry as they grew older.

"But we've seen how passionate they are about the craft. They know what celebritydom is. They know the good, the bad, warts and all of that," Catherine said.
