Nick Cannon Claims He Will Stay Celibate Until 2022 After Welcoming Four New Babies In Less Than A Year
Nick Cannon is done making babies — for now.
During an interview on the “Drinks Champs” podcast on Friday, October 1, the 40-year-old dad revealed that he would be holding off from doing the deed for the rest of the year.
“I told you man, I’m celibate right now,” he told DJ EFN and N.O.R.E. during the episode. “I’m going to see if I could make it to 2022."
After the podcast's hosts both claimed that the Wild N’ Out star was “not really, kind of” celibate, Cannon insisted, “Nah y’all said I ain’t really. I’m saying I’m going in.”
The America’s Got Talent alum’s decision to be celibate for a few months comes after he became a dad for the seventh time — with four of his little ones being born within the past year.
In December 2020, Cannon and his ex Brittany Bell welcomed their second child together, daughter Powerful Queen.
Just months later, Abby De La Rosa gave birth to their twin boys, Zion and Zillion.

As if that wasn’t enough baby fever, the TV personality welcomed his seventh child, Zen Scott, after model Alyssa Scott gave birth to their son later in June.
As OK! previously reported, Cannon claimed back in September that his therapist advised that he slow things down in the baby-making department.
“My therapist says I should be celebate,” he said at the time. "I’m [going to] take a break from having kids.”
However, he insisted that his decision was only temporary, and that he isn’t “done” having kids for good yet.
“Think about it, you can’t be like, ‘No I’m done.’ Like what if God says, ‘No you [are] not,’” he said.
“I come from a big family, I have several siblings, being raised in an unorthodox family by my grandparents at times. I’ve experienced such a wide range of upbringing that I have such a love and passion for kids and family. I want a big family too,” he added at the time. “The Lord has blessed me with what I asked, but ask and you shall receive.”
