"Perez's condition remains serious but stable. He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. His treatment and recovery will be a long process,” the family’s statement said.
"His communication has been extremely limited and confined to immediate family, medical providers, and others directly involved in his care. He has not communicated with the media or issued any [statements],” noted an update.
'Deeply Traumatic'

Perez Hilton has three children.
Medical providers and family members have cautioned that both his physical and psychological treatment will be a long process.
Sources note that Perez's mother, 72, has been a permanent fixture in the children's lives for years, essentially helping to raise them alongside his 42-year-old sister.
“What those children experienced was deeply traumatic,” another source told Rob. “They should never have been anywhere near that situation. The family believes Perez needs to focus on getting healthy before he can safely care for the children.”
