Reba McEntire continued balancing her music and acting careers as her wedding plans with Rex Linn remained delayed.

Reba McEntire and Rex Linn’s wedding plans remained on hold as both continued juggling demanding careers.
"We're just waiting until we have an open spot to have the wedding," McEntire told E! News on August 10 at the NBC Backlot Pass event.
She added, "Get it planned. Print those invitations."
McEntire and Linn got engaged in 2025, but their packed schedules made it difficult to find time for the ceremony.

Reba McEntire discussed her delayed wedding plans with Rex Linn while balancing her busy career.
Her Happy's Place costar Belissa Escobedo also pointed out just how occupied the couple remained.
"They're two of the busiest people," Escobedo said.
She continued, "Always on a new job. Making new music."
McEntire and Linn also worked together on Happy’s Place, where Linn played Emmett, the love interest of McEntire’s character, Bobbie.
For McEntire, working alongside her fiancé felt natural.
"It's easy, we have a blast together," she said.
McEntire added, "We work together, and we rehearse together. We carpool together. So, we're always together."

Reba McEntire and Rex Linn worked together on 'Happy’s Place' while continuing their relationship off screen.
Despite spending so much time together, McEntire said their relationship remained strong because they genuinely enjoyed each other’s company.
"We like each other," she explained.
"We love each other, but we like each other. We have fun," she continued.
The couple also had plenty in common, which McEntire said helped strengthen their relationship.
"We love the same things," she expressed. "We love the country way of life, the western way of life. We love movies. We love television."
Their entertainment preferences, however, were not identical.
"The only thing we're opposite of, he loves thriller horror movies. I'm more like, 'Happy. Everything's so sweet,'" McEntire said.

Rex Linn continued his acting career on 'Stick' as his wedding plans with Reba McEntire remained delayed.
The latest delay was not the first time work affected the timeline for McEntire and Linn’s wedding.
"We're still waiting on a third season pickup from Happy’s Place," she told E! News in February.
She continued, "And Rex got picked up on Stick with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back."
