Tyler Cameron Gives Update on His 'Organic' Relationship With Girlfriend Tate Madden: 'I'm Excited About What the Future Holds'

Tyler Cameron's life is better than ever — and he credits most of that to girlfriend Tate Madden

During an exclusive chat with OK! while promoting his partnership with CeraVe, The Bachelorette alum gives an update on his relationship with Madden while getting candid about their romance.

When asked whether being with Madden has changed how he thinks about marriage or starting a family, Cameron doesn't put a timeline on what's next — but makes it clear he's looking forward to finding out.

"I have always been excited about the future," he says, "and I'm even more excited about what the future holds with Tate in it."

"My relationship with Tate grew very organically," the Bachelor Mansion Takeover star adds. "I was really intentional about keeping it private and grounded and was protective of what we shared publicly for a long time."

For Cameron, taking a step back from the public eye allowed the couple to focus on building a foundation away from the pressures that come with dating in the spotlight.

"I wanted us to get to know each other outside of this bubble we live in, so the foundation could be strong," he explains.

Now, Cameron and Madden are partners in both life and business, spending much of their time working together on their various projects. But home renovator says their relationship isn't defined by their professional lives.

"Tate and I are each other's biggest cheerleaders," he shares. "Especially the way she is always supporting me and showing up for me, she is the best teammate I could ask for, and I always strive to do the same for her."

The You Deserve Better author and his girlfriend's busy schedules actually give them plenty of opportunities to work side-by-side.

Cameron jokes that he has "basically four different careers" — and Madden helps with almost all of them.

"We spend all day together most days," he spills. "The best part is coming home at the end to have low-key nights together where we're not working and just hanging out. That's how we spend quality time together even though we are always together for work."

And while fans see the pair's renovation projects and social media posts, Cameron says some of their best moments happen completely away from the cameras.

"I think everyone sees all the work that goes into the homes we renovate and the stuff we post on social media, but the most fun and craziest times happen when we're just sitting around goofing," he dishes. "Our friends get on us all the time to go out, but we have so much fun staying in and hanging out in the space we created."

"Once our backyard oasis is complete, I don't know if we will ever leave," the reality television personality jokes.

Madden is also someone Cameron relies on when he gets caught up in his own thoughts. He says she has a way of bringing him back to the present when he's feeling overwhelmed by his career and business ventures.

"Tate is such a light and brings so much positivity to everything that we do," he gushes. "I get in my own head all the time about business, and she is always able to pull me out of those dark thoughts and remind me about where we are and what we have accomplished."

"She has been so great at grounding me and reminding me it will all come in time," Cameron adds.

Their partnership extends beyond their personal life, too. Cameron and Madden are partners in TINKR, a modern tool brand that aims to make DIY projects simpler and less intimidating. The couple is hands-on with everything from product design to marketing and meeting with suppliers and merchants.

Cameron's latest project with CeraVe also combines his passion for renovation with a cause close to his Florida roots. For the campaign, Cameron teams up with board-certified dermatologist Dr. Chloe Goldman to transform a real college backyard in Florida into a sun-safe outdoor space, complete with more shade, SPF stations and other features designed to encourage healthier sun-care habits.

But before the backyard gets its makeover, Cameron makes a statement by smashing a tanning bed — a visual representation of the unsafe tanning behaviors CeraVe is looking to challenge.

‘We definitely wanted to get people’s attention!’ Cameron tells OK!. ‘The tanning bed represented some of the unsafe tanning behaviors that have been trending again, and we're smashing it out of frustration because, even with so much info today about the dangers of tanning, young people are still doing it.’

The campaign goes beyond the dramatic stunt, with Cameron, CeraVe and Dr. Goldman ultimately building something better in its place.

‘The campaign is about more than smashing something, even though that part was awesome. We wanted to build something better in its place,’ Cameron says. ‘CeraVe, Dr. Chloe and I transformed a real college backyard in Florida into a space with more shade, SPF stations and other sun-smart features that make healthier habits easier.’

The campaign also features CeraVe's new Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, which Cameron says has become a staple in his own routine.

‘Sunscreen is definitely non-negotiable, especially because I spend so much time outdoors,’ he says.

Now, he keeps his routine simple: washing his face, moisturizing and applying SPF before heading outdoors.

As for Madden, Cameron notes she's not shy about weighing in on his grooming and style choices.

"Tate definitely gives me her input, whether I ask for it or not!" he quips. "She has great taste, so I trust her opinion, especially when it comes to skincare and style."

And considering Madden has long been a CeraVe user herself, Cameron has even been known to borrow some of her favorite products.

"She's also a longtime CeraVe user — the Foaming Facial Cleanser and Moisturizing Cream have always been in our bathroom — so I've definitely been known to steal some of these," he says. "At this point, I think we both consider them fair game."
