Heather Dubrow Rejoins 'RHOC' After Cast Shake-Up — Find Out Which Three Controversial Stars Got The Axe
The Real Housewives of Orange County is shaking things up for the new season after a trio of stars got the axe — and a fan favorite is returning as production is expected to kick off next month.
Veterans Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke and newcomer Elizabeth Lyn Vargas were all fired from the hit Bravo series, Deadline confirmed. So far, Heather Dubrow has been announced as a returning cast member after exiting the show in 2017.
Dubrow will join returning castmates Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson for another go-round. Dubrow is married to famed plastic surgeon and Botched star Terry. The quirky duo share four children together — twins Max and Nick as well as daughters Katarina and Collete.
Fans have long argued the last few seasons of RHOC have been boring, and Dodd has been slammed for negative remarks she made about the coronavirus pandemic and accused of mocking the Black Lives Matter movement.
At one point, fans went as far as to circulate a petition demanding Bravo fire Dodd due to her deemed wild antics.

“The last five years have been an amazing experience,” Dodd, who recently married Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal tweeted on Tuesday, June 15. “The next five years will be even better. I am so grateful for all the love and support and so excited about the future #RHOC.”
Windham-Burke joined the series in season 14 and had a controversial run. She notoriously came out as a lesbian while still married to her husband, Sean.
“I’m incredibly sad to not be able to come back to The Real Housewives of Orange County next year,” the mother-of-seven gushed to PEOPLE about her exit. “I loved every moment of being a Housewife, and am so proud of my time on the show — the good, the bad, and the in-between.”
Lyn Vargas, who joined the most recent season 15, couldn’t connect with the audience and many felt her story line was dull. The one-season reality star even confessed to being raised in a “religious cult,” but it wasn’t enough for a contract renewal.
