Sunny Hostin's Son Gabriel's Trespassing Case Dismissed After 'The View' Host Name-Dropped Talk Show in Letter Begging D.A. Drop Charges: Report

Sunny Hostin's son Gabriel's trespassing case has been dismissed after the completion of a diversion program.

The 24-year-old reportedly finished a three-hour "Fresh Start" course, which is a pre-arraignment class providing first-time, low-level offenders the opportunity to avoid criminal prosecution by fulfilling certain requirements.

According to TMZ, Gabriel was successful in this feat and competed the course on August 20, with prosecutors also sending a letter to the court requesting the charges be dismissed.

The Harvard grad was caught by cops on June 16 on the Metro North tracks in New Rochelle, N.Y. However, he wasn't arrested after police accused him of trespassing on the right-of-way of the active railroad pathways.

The View host, 57, wrote a note to the D.A. earlier this summer after the incident, in which she demanded the case against her son be dropped.

"My client is a 2025 Harvard University graduate with no criminal history or prior contact with the criminal justice system. He is an avid runner and former Junior Olympian track athlete who was in the area training," she penned.

Sunny noted her son was jogging when he observed "a gravel incline that could be used for hill training" and didn't see a nearby "No Trespassing" emblem.

"The only 'No Trespassing' sign was affixed to the left gate and because the gates are open, it was not visible to my client as he entered the property," she wrote. "He reasonably believed that the area was accessible and had no intention of entering private property unlawfully."

The talk show emcee, who is also an attorney, was representing her son during his legal issues.

Body camera footage from Gabriel's encounter with the police showed Sunny name-dropping her TV credentials, as well as her legal background.

"My name is Sunny Hostin, and I'm one of the co-hosts of The View, and I'm a former federal prosecutor," she said. "That's my son. He's a Harvard graduate. He doesn't have a criminal record. He's not a kid who's ever in trouble. It's an innocent mistake."

Journalist Megyn Kelly previously blasted Sunny for being a "hypocrite," and for telling police her son is an Ivy League grad.

"No one's above the law, and everyone other than Sunny Hostin is swimming in privilege that she's very p----- off about," the anchorwoman, 55, said on her eponymous show last month.

"You're not allowed to [walk on train tracks]. I, newsflash, as a white woman, I'm not allowed to do it either! Okay? It doesn't matter if you went to Harvard or if you didn't go to college at all. Law applies the same," she scoffed.
