'Teen Mom 2' Star Kailyn Lowry Reveals Her Exes No Longer Wanted 'To Film' MTV Show, Discloses Where She Stands With Her Baby Daddies
Reality TV star Kailyn Lowry has a sordid history with her three baby daddies, but on the upcoming new season of Teen Mom 2, we will only see her side of the story as her exes declined to appear in this season of the hit MTV show.
“We’re co-parenting,” Lowry said, referring to navigating raising her four kids with her exes in the public eye. “I think this season I tried really hard to kind of keep a lot of things private, only because none of my kids’ dads really want to film. So I tell my story kind of without a whole lot of that, but we’re doing OK.”
Lowry shares Isaac, 11, with Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 7, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin and Lux, 3, and Creed, 9 months, with ex Chris Lopez — who all declined to appear in the new season of Teen Mom 2.
The Pothead Haircare founder stated that her relationship with her baby daddies are a “work in progress,” adding that they “really good periods of time and then we’ll hit a bump in the road.”
Lowry says that although she and her ex Rivera (whom she shares her oldest child with) have been co-parenting for 11 years, they are still working on their communication and relationship. “I think that a huge part of co-parenting is really compromising and understanding the other parent’s point of view for the best interest of the child,” she added.
Rivera and Lowry have had a rocky relationship since they welcomed their son in 2010 when they were both teenagers. The reality star’s pregnancy played out in the second season of MTV’s hit docuseries 16 and Pregnant.

As OK! previously reported, on a recent episode of Lowry’s podcast, “Baby Mama No Drama,” Rivera reflected on his past as a teen dad and how “tough” it was on him being “a young kid with a kid.”
The 29-year-old also admitted that he feels sorry for other fathers out there who don’t have the money or the connections to properly fight for custody like he did for his son after he and Lowry split. The two currently share 50/50 custody of their son.
“I couldn’t imagine someone who didn’t have the resources that I had because I was blessed enough to be financially stable at that time when I really had to start getting into the fights, because if not, Kail would have just outspent me,” he added. “I mean, that’s a thing. People need to understand that.”
Hustle and Heart author Lowry cohosts her podcast with Joe’s wife, Vee. The Riveras tied the knot in 2017 and share one daughter together, Velisse.
Season 11 of Teen Mom 2 premieres on MTV Tuesday, May 4, at 8 p.m. ET.
Us Weekly was the first to report on Lowry's exes declining to film new season.
