Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans Says She Hasn't Spoken To Estranged Mom Barbara In 'Months' As Nasty Custody Battle Over Son Jace Continues
A family divided.
Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans revealed she hasn’t spoken to her estranged mom Barbara in “months” as their nasty dispute over custody of her 12-year-son Jace continues.
In an Instagram clip shared on Thursday, September 9, the reality TV star mouthed along to the lyrics of “The Assignment” by female rapper Tay Money.
“When your mom says ‘don’t talk to me,’” she wrote over the video. “So we haven’t talked in months…” The ex-MTV star wore her hair in pigtails and sported a low-cut pink tank top.
The podcast host and her mom have a sordid history when it comes to Jace. Barbara was granted custody of her grandson in 2017, with Evans able to see him on weekends.
In May of this year, things reached a boiling point with the mother and daughter and Evans revealed she was heading to court to fight for custody.

“Things have been pretty rocky at her house with Jace for the past two years,” she spilled to The Sun. “There has been a major change. We agreed for Jace to live with me and she took back her word like a week later.”
Evans continued: “I am going through a custody battle with my mom now,” adding “I think it’s just time” referring to getting her son back.
The North Carolina native was fired from Teen Mom 2 in 2019 after her husband, David Eason, allegedly shot and killed their beloved family dog, Nugget, for biting their daughter — who was 2 years old at the time — in the face.
MTV had already canned Eason in 2018 after an alleged homophobic rant via Twitter.
Evans temporarily lost custody of her other two children amid the dog shooting scandal and split from Eason, although the two got back together months later.
The 16 and Pregnant alum shares son Jace with ex Andrew Lewis, while she shares 7-year-old Kaiser with Nathan Griffith and 4-year-old Ensley with Eason.
