Gretchen Carlson, Eboni K. Williams & Condoleezza Rice Being Eyed As Possible Replacements For Meghan McCain On 'The View'
With The View gearing up for its 25th season, all eyes are on who will replace Meghan McCain’s empty seat at the hot topics table.
Although executive producer Brian Teta spilled they are “taking a little time” to find the right fit, he did give a sneak peek of some of the ladies who could potentially be in the running for the full-time gig.
With the live premiere set for September, 7, 2021, a slew of high-profile ladies have been tapped to voice their opinion on the daytime chatfest. Republican Utah congresswoman Mia Love will cohost premiere week, followed by former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson and Real Housewives of New York star Eboni K. Williams all taking a turn.
Other notable names in the running are CNN’s S.E. Cupp, former HP CEO and Republican presidential candidate in 2016 Carly Fiorina, Southern Charm’s Cameran Eubanks and many more, according to THR.
OG fans of The View will be happy to hear that in the upcoming new season all of the show’s former cohosts have been extended an invite to participate in “Flashback Fridays”. Star Jones will be the first to return on September 10.

“It's chaos behind-the-scenes at The View,” an ABC insider spilled, adding that the remaining ladies are freaking out over who might join them on the panel. “Joy Behar is openly moaning about Meghan leaving as it's finally hit her that sometimes it is better the devil you know.”
“Joy has only just realized that they could be getting someone much further right on the political spectrum than Meghan who won't put up with her crap,” the source dished to adding that if ABC was smart, they’d do a “massive shake up” and hire a staunch conservative, like Megyn Kelly, political commentator Candace Owens or Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle.
The insider concluded that the legendary talk show needs to hire a conservative who can reach ex-President Donald Trump’s far-right base to increase ratings and breathe new life into the show.
Either way, it’ll be tricky to find the perfect match to fit in with the feisty returning cohosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and frequent guest host Ana Navarro.
